Daughter to Heilen Beruhren and Ruhig Eintracht Forte, Speranza Radiante Forte is the culmination of two long lineages; one taking pride in fortitude against adversity and despair; the other in alleviating pain and suffering around them.
Born right before the Campfierrian Empire was subjected to the infamous Changeling Siege, Speranza is a witness to the devastation brought in by conflict, not only through death and destruction, but also through hatred, ignorance, and despair. She grew up in an empire where a victory over an invading force of subjugated people has corrupted the ideals she and her family held so dear. Countless ponies hurt by this cruel ambivalent war, and newly integrated changelings subjugated and detested by fault of their differences and defeat. Hers was a society where the unwilling few, too cowardly to fight when the bells of war toll, and too heartless to forgive, would try and preach a divide in the ashes of a new dawn, driven only by their own ambition and malevolence.

Since her birth, Speranza grew in a family that thought her the values of justice, empathy, acceptance, hard work and benevolence. For every day she would see those values not only preached, but manifest themselves in her parents; A father who fought when he didn't have to, who chose in defiance of tradition to forgive an old unwilling enemy in hopes of aiding them become part of the homeland he cherished; And a mother who despite having experienced some of the worst impulses of her kind chose to mend and restore those in greatest need.
After a childhood filled with desire to make the world a better place, she chose to follow in her parents' footsteps. As her mother, Speranza was gifted with the magic to heal those around her, thus choosing to become a surgeon. And as her father she was gifted with a predilection towards justice and drive towards mending bridges between people. As her skills couldn't be fine-tuned by conventional academia alone, she left for Equestria, where she was admitted into the Canterlot Royal Academy of Advanced Wizardry (or Magic as Equestrians called it
). There, under the tutelage of the best teachers and with access to some of the more ancient texts Speranza mastered both the art of healing and in a more shocking twist, the Magic of Friendship and all entailed by it, as she felt she needed both in order to fulfill her calling.
And thus in the end, Speranza chose to dawn her own mantle, as a bringer of hope, a mender of both body and soul. She is a healer matched in skill only by her mother, an advocate of social reform, justice and acceptance as her father. But most importantly, she is an unrelenting and unyielding messenger of hope.

I finally decided to draw Ruhig and Heilen's oldest child, their daughter, Speranza Radiante Forte. I did plan to draw her for quite a while ^_^
I don't think it's even worth saying that both her parents are so proud of her, like the goofballs they are:

On an unrelated note, since she was brought up in a family that took pride in their openness and acceptance, Speranza ends up discovering she's Bi 
. Luckily (and embarrassingly) for her, her parents always love inviting both her gf's and bf's for dinner whenever possible
